Vesanus

What happens when a satyr and a wrathos breed together? A Vesanus, that's what.
Unlike it's cousins, the Vesanus is always in a state of rage, and will attack anything but another satyr on sight. They are by far the largest of the satyrfolk as well, full grown males easily reaching 10 feet in height and topping 700 pounds in weight. Vesanus are also the dumbest of their species, being lacking in tools and weapons, and generally traveling alone. Some speculate that they simply do not need tools, but the former is far mmore likely.
Vesanus use their horns, claws, hooves, and tail to hunt prey, relying on their many spikes and fire breath to defend against predators. Vesanus also radiate intense heat from their bodies, which helps in defence. Despite being the dumbest of the species, Vesanus are known for their surprising craftiness against tougher foes, utilizing the caves and tunnels taht are their home. A favorite trick is to lure a large predator into a small tunnel, and when the beast becomes stuck, they circle around in a previously found, or dug, tunnel, and burn the larger creature alive, supplying the Vesanus with a meal that will last for months.
